Even in these troubled times, we are urged to rejoice this day, this week, this season. The question posed by nearly everyone to John the Baptist – What should we do? – is also our question. Saint Paul reminds us that the Lord is near. While we actively wait for Jesus Christ to come again, we are told to be merciful and just. 

We can prepare the way for the Lord by making good choices this Advent season. This way, we will have peaceful hearts. We’ll be ready to welcome Jesus when he comes.
