In cooperation with local communities, the Lakeland Humane Society provides a safe haven for cats and dogs, while promoting responsible pet ownership, a concern for animal welfare, a compassion for all living things and their environment, and a commitment to make a difference.

Services we provide for our animal residents:

• We provide a safe environment for lost, injured, sick, orphaned, abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted companion animals in the Lakeland area*.
• Adoption services for the animals that have not been claimed or have been surrendered to us.
• Humane euthanasia for un-adoptable animals due to illness and injury.
• Spay/Neuter Program for all adopted dogs & cats.
• Microchip Identification Program – all cats and dogs adopted are microchipped as a permanent form of identification.
• Vaccinations for animal residents.
