We all know what it’s like to face that moment when our children just don’t do as they’re told. This discussion group will give some positive parenting suggestions to help you teach your child how to accept limits, do as they are told, and to understand the meaning of the word No.

We use LEGO™ play as a venue for children to practice positive social skills in a group setting. As LEGO™ play tends to be a solitary activity, having a group engaged in LEGO™ activities presents opportunities for children to practice social skills. To encourage positive peer interaction and kindness, we use Carol McCloud’s philosophy of “Bucket Filling”.

We all need a support system to help us as we move through our grief journey. While family and friends are vital, unless they have experienced a close personal loss, they most likely don’t fully “get it.” That is where Living through Grief can become a valuable resource for you. Gain coping skills and tools to help you through the most difficult days, hope through conversations with people who understand first-hand what you are going through, and an understanding of how children and family members react to loss.
