Reporting to: Branch Manager
Job Purpose:

The HD Mechanic will be responsible for effectively performing maintenance and service of property, equipment, and vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily maintenance of property, equipment (i.e., Trucks and Trailers), and vehicles throughout the facility;
  • Inspect and evaluates operating conditions of equipment and vehicles;
  • Perform maintenance activities and modifies existing equipment and systems to keep the facility in good running order;
  • Read, understand, and follow hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams;
  • Ensure that all maintenance is completed in accordance with established department policies and safety regulations;
  • Attend training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed;
  • Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extend of repair needed.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools and power tools.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications and NCSG's policies.
  • Follow all NCSG Safety rules and safe work practices.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  • Be a positive mentor.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate;
  • CVIP Tech License;
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean commercial drivers abstract, Class 1 license an asset;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with heavy duty trucks, picker trucks, light duty fleet and various oilfield related trailers.
  • Experience in Cummins diesels engines an asset.

This position is responsible for supporting the Kinosoo Operations Coordinator with the effective and efficient maintenance of the fixed grip chair lifts located at Kinosoo Ridge Resort to maximize the guest and employee experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Subject matter expert with lifts, carpets, and aerial park maintenance and general outdoor operations.
  • Assist in snowmaking and grooming.
  • Actively involved in preventive and required maintenance for lifts and lift maintenance to ensure safe uninterrupted operation.
  • Maintenance of grounds and building.
  • Machinery and equipment installation, preventative maintenance, service, repair and overhaul, (weekly/monthly/annual) on all mechanical system such as vehicle, building, water and septic.
  • Installing and adjusting machinery and equipment, rigging, leveling and aligning, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

  • Operate M.D. equipment safely, efficiently, and effectively.

  • Report all lift maintenance related activities as required.

  • Assist other departments with general maintenance needs, where required.

  • Assist with lift and ariel park opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in the current CSA Z98 Code and a working knowledge of OH & S regulations is required.
  • Lift Courses: 151,152 and 153 or 5+ years experience
  • Knowledge of PLC electrical systems and components.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and low voltage control.
  • Building maintenance, carpentry and electrical knowledge/experience is an asset.
  • Ability to operate snow mobiles, ATV’s and 4 x 4 trucks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Strong management and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, and able to work well with others in a team environment.
