CEDA is looking to hire 1 Operator for our mechanical team at AOC Leismer in Conklin. This is a Labour role, will include operating equipment as needed (Zoom Boom, Skidsteer, etc.)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide assistance and support to the Tradespeople
Assist with basic maintenance and repairs
Maintaining safe work practices
Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there

Role Specifications:

2+ years of industrial experience working with pipefitters and welders is an asset
Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
Experience operating a Skidsteer, Telehandler / or Zoom Boom and Loader is an asset
The following tickets are required: H2S Alive, standard first aid and CSO or CSTS2020
These certificates would be considered and asset: Confined Space - Entry & Monitor, Fall Protection & Mobile Elevated Work Platform or Aerial Work Platform
Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA

Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude
You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
Prior experience working at heights with the use of special fall restraint equipment
Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
Experience and comfort with confined spaces such as a small vessel/tank or trench
Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
