  • Acceptable 3 year commercial drivers abstract (Class 3 or 1)
  • Pass a pre access Drug and Alcohol screening
  • Off Highway and floater tire experience is an absolute must. (This is bush work)
  • Experience with maintaining hydraulics, water pumps and related equipment is preferred.
  • Safety Certifications are project requirements and the drivers responsibility to obtain.
  • Bear Awareness
  • One of the following: CSTS or PST or PCST
  • Access to computer and internet for pre job online orientations.
  • Ability to drive 18 speed manual transmissions (NO automatics in fleet)
  • Willingness to work in all aspects of the job and NOT just driving.

The Job:

Includes but not limited to: Snow Making, ice road building, ROW freeze down, HDD Rig water. Not just a driving position.

Large inch pipeline project with Danger hills, crowded ROWs, radio controlled roads and ice roads

Camp based work for the duration of the project.

Agreements are signed and actual start date will be weather dependent.

Regular Truck maintenance infield is each drivers job but is a team effort.

Pay is experienced based and BI-monthly (15th-31st)

Communication, Leadership and Team player values are a must.

Lead hand positions possible as need dictate.

Side impact hard hat, Steel Toed boots, Proper winter gear/gloves and Hi Vis outerwear required. (Not Provided)

Travel TO camp is not provided and the drivers responsibility. Crew Truck for infield provided.

Role Specifications

Class 1 drivers licence
Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13, 18 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
2 years experience on a pressure truck in an industrial environment is required
CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO) is required at time of offer
Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude
You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)

We’re a small team, you’ll get to know the people as well as you know the equipment. The variety of interesting equipment with specialty components combined with the tools needed to do great work are a few reasons our shop team loves working here.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance on Vacuum trucks, Combos, Water Trucks, Tankers, and Pressure Trucks
Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumps
Troubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts
Interpret work orders
Required to go on service calls in the field
Work alongside apprentices and delegate work
Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled
Role Specifications
