CRJ Trucking is looking to hire a motivated and qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team! 3rd or 4th year apprentice may be considered. Experience working on oilfield related equipment is preferred but not required, this includes but is not limited to, Pressure Trucks, Vacuum Trucks, Flush-by units. This is a camp position and would require individuals to stay in camp for the duration of their shift. CRJ offers a full health benefit plan and competitive wages. Job Description
CEDA is currently seeking Operators at our Conklin, Jackfish and Christina Lake locations. (Willing to accept Class 3, with Pressure & Vac experience)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operate and maintain combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, pressure truck equipment and various specialty tools
Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity
Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
Ensure safety for all team members and property
Provide quality services to our clients
Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Class 1 licence
Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 18 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment on pressure and vacuum equipment is preferred
H2S Alive, CSO certification or combination of CSTS-09 is required at time of offer
Valid confined space and elevated work platform tickets are an asset but not required, we can train you!

Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely

Hiring - Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic - Conklin
Job Description
CEDA is currently hiring 1 Journeyman, Heavy Duty Mechanics for our shop in Conklin. (will consider a 2nd year apprentice)

We’re a small team, you’ll get to know the people as well as you know the equipment. The variety of interesting equipment with specialty components combined with the tools needed to do great work are a few reasons our shop team loves working here.

What we offer:

7X7 shift with 12 hour days
Variety of equipment to work on: from skid steers to T&E Pumps on pressure and vacuum equipment (Cummins, Paccar, and loaders too!)
Safety is number 1: we watch out for one another and pride ourselves in doing the work right the first time

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Preventative maintenance on Vacuum trucks, Combos, Water Trucks, Tankers, Skid-steers and Pressure Trucks
Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumps
Troubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts
Interpret work orders
Occasionally attend service calls in the field
Work alongside apprentices and assist in their development
Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled
Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications
Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman certificate required
Valid class 5 Driver’s licence required with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years (no GDL drivers)
Class 1 or 3 licence considered an asset
Experience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an asset
Experience troubleshooting emission system issues using diagnostic software (typically Cummins) is an asset
Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Able to provide your own tools

Skills
You’re happiest working in a team and getting the job done safely, as well as working independently on various projects in the shop
Your knowledge of T&E pumps and Cummins, CAT, and Paccar engines would set you up for success
You’re meticulous – you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs
