Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform general labour tasks such as moving supplies, unloading deliveries, snow removal (if applicable) and basic site clean up
Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
Assist Maintenance and facilities operations staff as needed

Role Specifications:

Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping or general labour in an oilfield setting

CEDA has an immediate opening for a 2nd year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic for our shop in Conklin AB.

Job description: This role is responsible for the safe operation of a Hydrovac by using pressurized water and a vacuum system to quickly, safely, and precisely expose around utilities, pipelines, etc. Other duties required include:
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • Knowledge of the blower operations and safe temperatures
  • Knowledge of the boom controls (manual and remote)
  • Knowledge of the boiler system (fire up, cool down)
  • Knowledge of winterizing and de-winterizing

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and driving a water truck to fill a hydrovac, etc.
This includes driving to and from work sites, performing pre and post trip inspections and performing roadside repairs.
