Job Description:
MPI is currently looking for an experienced Field Safety Advisor to join our dynamic team! This position requires excellent safety leadership and comprehensive expertise to ensure the health and safety of all employees on the job site.

Skills you Bring:
  • Showcase the company safety program on projects by promoting a positive safety culture and safe work practices
  • Responsible for the daily administration and management of the site HSE program
  • Assist in development and implementation of Site Emergency Response Plan
  • Establish and maintain positive project client-contractor safety relations
  • Post and maintain HSE bulletins, posters, rules, and regulations
  • Verify employee training and maintain employee training matrix
  • Schedule / facilitate training and orientations
  • Verify subcontractor safety qualifications
  • Facilitate safety meetings
  • Perform site inspections
  • Oversee site observation program
  • Perform task observations and provide coaching as needed
  • Assist supervision regarding safety requirements during task planning
  • Assist with development of safe work procedures and hazard assessments

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operate and maintain combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, pressure truck equipment and various specialty tools
Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity
Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
Ensure safety for all team members and property
Provide quality services to our clients
Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Class 3 or Class 1 licence
Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment on pressure and vacuum equipment is preferred
CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO) is required at time of offer
Valid confined space and elevated work platform tickets are an asset but not required, we can train you!

Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely

Hiring - Project Administrator
Brown’s Industrial Services is currently looking to fill the role of Project Administrator in our Civil Construction Division. We focus on professional and personal growth with competitive wages, excellent benefit plan, and a safe work environment.

Reporting to the Project Manager (PM), this role will be the key support for planning and coordinating projects, take on administrative duties and independently manage some of the necessary elements to ensure projects are completed on time. The position will be a Monday to Friday role in Camp 10-hour days.

  • Enter estimates, time, and costs into spreadsheets and internal programs (prepare and send to customers when complete)
  • Coordinate services/calls as directed by PM

  • Proficient Computer Skills: electronic communications, spreadsheets
