Hiring - Jorneyman Mechanics
Manatokan Oilfield Services Inc., part of the ASCO Group of Companies, is a full-service fluid management company with bases in Lakeland and Athabasca area. We are currently looking for experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanics in Athabasca area locations. Duties include, but are not limited to;
Duties include, but are not limited to;
  • Perform preventative maintenance on our Vacuum Trucks, Flushby's and Pressure Trucks
  • Contribute to the ongoing preventative maintenance of company equipment
  • Complete inspections and maintenance on company equipment
  • Maintenance of accurate records of all service and repair work
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviors)
  • Journeyman certification
  • Three to five years of relevant practical experience
  • Valid Class 5 drivers' licence, Class 1 license would be an asset
  • The ability to regularly lift to 50 pounds
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work within a team and communicate at all levels
  • Driven to provide excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems and the ability to provide your own tools
  • Oilfield Field experience preferred

Job Description
Manatokan Oilfield Services Inc., part of the ASCO Group of Companies, is a full-service fluid management company with bases in La Corey (Lakeland Region) and Conklin (Athabasca Region), Alberta, Canada. We are currently looking for experienced operators in both regions across a range of disciplines:
  • Super B
  • Semi-Vac
  • Body Vac
  • Pressure Truck
  • Flushby
  • Tanker
  • Water Truck
  • Combo Unit
  • High Pressure Units
  • Chemical Cleaning Units
Various rotations may be available: 21/14 -14/14 - 14/7 - 20/10 - 7/7 with 12 hour shifts.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner always;
  • Supply a safe and effective service to our clients;
  • Safely drives and operates a range of unit types;
  • Completion of required company, client and regulated documentation on a daily basis;
  • Maintain and build client relationships by providing high levels of customer service;
  • Transportation of dangerous goods;
  • Completion of minor maintenance and checks on company vehicles.
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviors)
  • Class one (preferred) or three driver's license
  • A clean Driver’s abstract (no more than 4 demerits)
  • Manual handling experience and the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • H2S and First Aid Training required (mandatory)
  • Ability to work within a team and communicate at all levels
  • Driven to provide excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
  • A one year+ proven track record of relevant practical experience
