Job Summary:

We are looking for a professional with experience in integrated oilfield services and trucking to fill a role as a Class 1 Winch Driver for our trucking division. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized and responsible with excellent communication skills. This position will be primarily based out of our Wabasca camp office. Travel to job sites throughout Northern Alberta will be required.

The successful applicant will be expected to proactively manage daily schedules and records for all trucking operations. A strong understanding of trucking logistics and an ability to serve as a reliable point of contact is necessary. This role contributes to the success of the organization by managing customer relationships and requirements while also ensuring the health and safety of drivers and operators.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is accountable for but not limited to:
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining operational schedules, routes and logs
  • Balancing and managing employee and customer needs while ensuring service and safety are never compromised
  • Communicating with employees and clients by phone throughout the day
  • Facilitating and adapting to special requests as required
  • Being able to deal with high pressure situations and timelines
  • Operating and maintaining trucks / equipment as required
  • Assisting with other duties throughout the business as required
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required
  • 3+ years of trucking experience (winch / flatbed operation preferred)
  • Class 1 driver’s licence (or equivalent) with clean record; driver’s abstract will be requested.
  • Must have own Transportation to and from camp
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing
  • Safety and mechanically oriented
  • Current H2S Alive, First Aid and/or CSTS would be an asset
Work Conditions:

  • Some travel and extra time will be required

We are looking for a number of professionals with experience in integrated oilfield services and excavation to fill a role as a Swamper for our trucking division, Bearing Transport. The ideal candidates for this position will be organized and responsible with a strong work ethic and communication skills. These positions will be based throughout Northern Alberta, with primary locations in Bonnyville, Wabasca and Elk Point. Travel to and from these locations is expected.

The successful applicant will be expected to assist with all ongoing requests for trucking operations. A strong understanding of trucking logistics and an ability to prioritize safety is necessary. This role contributes to the success of the organization by managing client and employer relationships and requirements while also ensuring the health and safety of fellow operators.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is accountable for but not limited to:
  • Maintaining a clean & safe working environment
  • Assist operators/technicians with all assigned tasks and prep work
  • Maintaining equipment and assisting with other shop projects
  • Painting equipment
  • Being available on call as scheduled, and available by phone
  • Loading trucks and equipment to go to worksites in accordance with job call sheets and management instruction.
  • Safely travelling to and from work sites
  • Facilitating the safe transportation of equipment
  • Assisting with other duties throughout the business as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Reliable vehicle for travel to and from camp
  • Class 5 driver’s licence (or equivalent) with clean record; driver’s abstract will be requested.
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing
  • Superior oral & written communication
  • Applicants with some safety tickets / training would be preferred.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to carry out duties in all weather conditions
  • Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs
  • Must be an adaptable team player with a positive attitude
