This is the "paint in" design for our January APAC meeting.  Trace it on a 6" tile or a plate of your choice.  Dust it with Black China Paint powder (gently remove the excess powder with a clean cotton ball or a piece of Swiffer) and fire it to cone .018.  The colours I used are:

Chartreuse, Sultan, Darkest Green,
Light Yellow Brown, Dark Yellow Brown, Rich Brown,
Rose Blush, Canadian Rose (American Beauty),
Yellow Red,
Mid Grey, Ashe Grey,  and Black;
or you can choose your own colours from a standard palette.

Learn about and experience The Saint John’s Bible!

Brad Neary, Director of the Heritage Program, will share the history of the original manuscript as well as details of the full-sized printed version, referred to as the Heritage Edition. Neary will have one volume – Gospels and Acts – of the Heritage Edition on display and will share several of the work’s most iconic illuminations.

The Saint John’s Bible is the first-handwritten,illuminated Bible commissioned by a Benedictine monastery in 500 years. It was commissioned in 1998 by the Benedictine monastery of Saint John’s Abbey and Saint John’s University to ignite the spiritual imagination of people throughout the world and to illuminate the word of God for a new millennium.

The Saint John’s Bible was created by a team of scribes, artists and craftspeople in a scriptorium in Wales under the artistic direction of Donald Jackson, one of the world’s foremost calligraphers and the Scribe to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Crown Office at the House of Lords in London, England.
