We will be leaving from Corpus Christi Church at 7:45 am. If you are interested in coming please meet at the Church.
Prepare for Lent in a unique way. Tour the world of religious art right here in Calgary, where we will visit Eastern churches from Greece, Romania, Ethiopia, Egypt and Ukraine.
3 Churches on Feb 3rd and 3 churches on Feb 10. Each tour will run from 8:45am to 12 noon.
There are no fees involved, and all are welcome.
It is expected that attendees will be seated in the church proper and listen to a member of the clergy or laity, who will provide a brief explanation of the church itself, perhaps a little history and more specifically identify the icons and other religious art that is displayed.
There will then be a period of time given for questions from the attendees.
It is our plan to have the icon "tourists" arrive, and depart within about a 45 min period. There is time allotted should you wish to spend a few minutes in prayer. We must keep to a tight schedule in order to arrive on time for the next presentation.

10:30am Depart for St Mina Coptic Orthodox Church, 292129 Wagon Wheel Blvd, Calgary
11:00am Presentation at St Mina Coptic Orthodox Church,
11:45 tour ends.
NOTE: Ethiopian custom requires that shoes be removed before entering the sanctuary. Please bring slippers to wear inside the church.
