- Overview of employment standards, with a focus on general holiday pay changes, and vacation pay
Alberta Employment Standards is offering free webinars beginning March 31, 2021. The webinars will provide an overview of the Employment Standards Code and Regulation, and cover changes from Bill 32: the Restoring Balance in Alberta’s Workplaces Act, as well as changes made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics will include new rules for break times, deductions from earnings, general holiday pay, temporary layoffs, Ministerial and Director variances and group terminations. The webinars will also cover Alberta’s job-protected leaves.
Each webinar includes a live Q&A chat session to give participants a chance to ask questions to employment standards education specialists.
