Malanka is the celebration of Ukrainian New Year’s Eve and is an important tradition for our dance families and the Lakeland community. It is also the first opportunity of the dance season for the Kryla Ukrainian Dancers to perform for our family, friends, and community. We celebrate as a “family” with a Ukrainian meal, a dance performance showcase, a silent auction, and end the evening with a family dance.

Our next Malanka event will be held at the Bonnyville Centennial Centre on January 11, 2025.
