June 18, 1938 – January 13, 2026
With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world surrounded by the love of her family. Fiorina Iaquinta of Calgary, AB passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the age of 87 years. She was a devoted and cherished wife to her husband of nearly 70 years, a remarkable partnership built on love, loyalty, and commitment. Born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy, she carried her Italian roots with pride throughout her life. After immigrating to Canada, she made her home in Kimberley, B.C., where she became the heart and matriarch of her family, preserving her culture through food, language, music, and tradition.
She was a proud and dedicated mother who raised three children: Frank (Janyce), Rosa (Bruce), and Aldo (Trish). She was a beloved sister to two sisters and three brothers, a proud nonna to eight grandchildren, and a cherished bisnonna to nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were the joy of her life. Her legacy lives on in the Italian traditions she passed down, the meals shared around the table, the songs sung at night, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
