William Ronald “Bill” Tanner of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by love. Bill is survived by his loving wife Elaine and his two children Linda (Chris) McCue and Lawrence Tanner. Generous with his time and spirit, Bill loved his family fiercely and was a devoted husband, father, and friend.

Bill was a devoted volunteer at Corpus Christi Parish Church. He was an honorary Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and served actively as treasurer.  His courage, kindness, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will be on February 21st at 11:00 a.m. There will be a gathering following the funeral in the Father Trudeau room.

Margaret Laurendeau (Boyle) of Calgary, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 85 years. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Donald Laurendeau, and her younger sister Marian Youngs (Boyle). Born and raised in Calgary, Margaret is lovingly remembered by her four loving children Theresa Wilkes, Cathy Reinhart, Donna Bennett (Garth), David Laurendeau (Jennifer). She is also survived by grandchildren Rebecca, Tara, Scott, Melissa, Joshua, Samantha, Micki, Amy, Brooklyn, Elizabeth and Audrey. In addition she is survived by great grandchildren Helen, Seth, Jeremy, Jaxon, Oliver, Isaac, Zozo, Felix, Gregory and Harley. She is survived by her siblings Fred (Gloria) Boyle, Theresa McCarthy (Boyle), Tom (Sue) Boyle.

Margaret’s faith was the foundation of her life. A devoted member of the Catholic Church, she lived her faith each day through both word and action. She dedicated many years of service to the Calgary Catholic School District, where she supported students and staff with kindness, patience, and compassion. She saw her work not simply as a job, but as a vocation rooted in her commitment to Catholic education.

Margaret also shared her love of music generously. She was a cherished member of the Calgary Catholic School District Arabesque Women’s Chamber Choir and was active in the music ministry within the District and at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Through song, she expressed her faith and brought joy to those around her.

A Funeral Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00am, with a reception to follow.

The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Wentworth Manor who cared so well for Margaret with kindness and dignity until the end.
