​This book is a fantastic resource for both English and Western riders, focusing on establishing respect and leadership with your horse. It covers real-world solutions for common problems and helps you teach your horse to use the "thinking" side of its brain. The book is in Good Used Condition; the internal pages are clean, though there is a small, honest tear on the corner of the dust jacket (see photos). • What Lies Beneath a Harlequin Anthology 2002, 378 pages. A electrifying trio of stories, combining romance, suspense, and intrigue, features Anne Stuart's "The Road to Hidden Harbor," in which Jodi Ferrell sets out to solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of a talented poet, who vanished in the Maine woods twenty years earlier, as well as Joana Wayne's "Remember Me" and "Primal Fear" by Caroline Burnes.
• Revenant 2007, 362 pages. A suspense story about a decades-old mass grave is unearthed revealing the remains of five women each one buried with a bridal veil and without her ring finger. Reporter Carson Lynch is among the first on the scene and with justice and redemption in mind begins to investigate.

• Touched, 1996, 371 pages, involves members of the same family as in Summer of the Redeemers but is set in 1926 in the same community. When nine-year-old daughter of the most controversial woman, is struck by lightning while dancing, the townspeople are horrified when she doesn’t die but survives—and is given the gift of prophecy.

In Penumbra 2006, 280 pages, each principal character has made a grave mistake in love. This is a novel about the consequences of loving the wrong person. With Penumbra, Carolyn Haines branched out from the cozy Southern mysteries that made her name and into more serious territory.
With her next literary crime novel the exploration continues showing the darker side of the South in Fever Moon 2007, 294 pages, she moves to 1944 New Iberia, Louisiana, where Henri Bastion, a wealthy plantation owner, has been brutally eviscerated.

Rachel Alexander and Dash is a series of mystery novels by Carol Lea Benjamin who writes the Rachel Alexander and Dash series x9 books. Carol was a former private investigator and acclaimed dog trainer - a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals Hall of Fame.
In the books Rachel Alexander is a divorced dog trainer who is now a private investigator. She works alongside her pit bull Dash in order to solve crimes in Greenwich Village.
As these are vintage a few may have age toned inside covers/age toned pages but this does not interfere with reading. All as new books look never read, in excellent condition. May have been very gently read, pages tight.

The Dog Lover’s Mysteries is a series of cozy mysteries and stories by American author Susan Conant. Set in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the series follows a feisty dog trainer/magazine writer named Holly Winter along with several recurring animal characters. Holly is a canine-loving detective sniffing out crime on the streets of Cambridge - a dog’s best friend - and a murderer’s worst enemy. “Susan Conant might be the dog lovers’ answer to Lilian Jackson Braun’s The Cat Who series.”

Cat Crimes Through Time 1999, in excellent as new condition, looks unread 21 stories, 335 pages, dust cover & back corner of book minor abrasion. A collection of twenty-one fresh and original mystery short stories involving felines, that were specially commissioned for this anthology.
Felonious Felines 2000, as new never read, 12 stories from 1992 to 2000, 175 pages. Minor storage edgewear.

These vintage set of Kendra Ballantyne books are a series of thriller, mystery, and suspense written by one of the well known authors from The United States named Linda O. Johnston. The author has developed the fictional character of Kendra Ballantyne based on her own personal life. Just like her, she too works as an attorney in Los Angeles. Kendra owns a King Charles Spaniel. In spite of all the similarities between her and the lead character of the series, author Linda maintains that the series is not autobiographical. As the series begins, it is shown that Kendra’s license to practice law gets suspended. Due to this, she is forced to start a pet sitting business in order to earn her living. While doing so, she comes across a number of mysterious situations. In order to deal with them, she takes up some sleuthing activities and tries to solve the mysteries around her. Author Linda began writing this mystery series in the year 2005 releasing its debut novel in the same year under the title of Sit, Stay, Stay.
The paperback books are in excellent to new condition. May have been gently read but pages are tight. One book included free.

This large Harlequin Intrigue collection of vintage books from my private collection are in like new condition, never read. A few show storage wear along the cover edges. Mint condition books are rare and quite costly up to $19 plus. Asking ~$4.09/book which is below original cost.
The Fear Familiar series is unique for one particular reason: the books are about a black cat that solves crimes. Even though the books are supposed to be romantic in nature, they depend on elements of mystery to drive the intrigue. Each book introduces a new hero and heroine. The leading characters are rarely the perfect match, yet one thing or another draws them together, and in their midst is a mystery that will either strengthen their bond or tear them apart. That is where a cat called Familiar comes into play. Familiar not only solves the crime but helps the couple in question get together. It should be noted that Familiar primarily works to nudge the human actors of the story in the right direction. View additional photos.

A Melanie Travis mystery is a series of cozy murder mystery novels written by Laurien Berenson. The series follows the life of Melanie Travis, a single mother/school teacher and dog lover who solves mysteries in her free time. The series is set in Connecticut and features a variety of dog breeds. She owns and shows several full-size pedigree Standard Poodles. All of her (mis)adventures involve the dog show circuit in varying degrees, providing an entertaining view into the world of raising and showing dogs.
Laurien Berenson is the author to look out for, especially for those who madly love pets. Her material is not just for those customers with puppies, rather, for everyone who has a pet other than a dog plus those not currently having them but anticipating keeping pets in the future. The books provide practical and workable know how on how to relate and continue improving the relationship between you and your pet.
